360 with HDMI splitter and transmitter

Hi, I recently purchased an HDMI splitter and Wireless HDMI Transmitter from Amazon. I tested the wireless transmitter to sen the video to another room and it worked perfectly. I then added the splitter and it doesn't work. The splitter was supposed to send the signal to the local TV and the TV in my bedroom. It works with the PS3, Sky box, Blu Ray and my laptop perfectly. But the 360 doesn't work. When you switch on it says no signal. I presume this is something to do with the HDMI handshake so I tried disabling the TV detection but this didn't work. Can someone please let me know if there is something on the 360 that I can configure to make it work? If not is there a recommended splitter to use with the 360? Ps I own the Xbox 360 Slim 250GB Thanks Grant

You wouldn't use a splitter, you'd use a matrix switch.

Can you provide the make/model of "splitter" you're using?

Also it seems to work with a friends xbox. I got one of the early 360 S's. His is a recent Kinect one... Could that be the issue?

Try resetting the video on the 360 to default, then configuring it for 1080p?

Ok will give it a try. I doubt there would be an HDCP issue here as it works when connected directly.

So from the 'Display' menu I set the video to 'Default', restart and then set it to 1080p?
