360 S version 4gig HD no longer showing up.

So on thanksgiving my cat knocked my 360 onto the floor while I was at work. got called about it. kids said it didn't work at all. I came home, turned it on, it registered an e68 error, basically a problem with the HDD. I take out the 320g that I had in it, lo and behold, the xbox turns on just fine, and plays, but it wont register the built in 4gig HDD it had and wont accept the 320g anymore. So I am wondering what if anything I can do.

Followed the steps. If it were just the 320 gig hard drive that wasnt showing up, believe me I would be getting a new one. but it is also the internal 4gig hard drive that is not showing up. As I stated. If you can show  me how I can remove the internal hard drive without voiding the warranty I would love trying that. This is two issues. the first being the problem with the external hard drive, but the one that I can't seem to find an answer for is the INTERNAL hard drive that no longer appears on my system info.

MY INTERNAL HARD DRIVE IS NOT SHOWING UP. That is the issue.

I saw that you had mentioned that the internal drive wasn't appearing as a storage device but figured it would be best to try the support fix first and go from there if it doesn't resolve your issue.

There is no way to remove/replace the internal 4Gig flash memory yourself without voiding the warranty.  A repair through Microsoft is the only option I recommend.

You can set up a repair online if you choose by following the link below:

So my options are send it in for repairs, spend 1month and 100 dollars, and of course this would assume I was a smart monkey and registered the equipment when i got it right?

Otherwise my options are to buy another one from newegg, buy the extended warranty, and try and recoup some of the cost by selling it with full disclosure on ebay right?

I would go with the first option you listed, as it is the most economical.  As far as I know, there is no "time limit" after purchase in which your console must be registered to receive support from Microsoft.

I don't make assumptions.

I would also further advise against placing your console in a location in which it could be knocked over by anyone or anything.

Whatever you choose to do, good luck, I hope you get it sorted out quickly and are happily enjoying your console again soon.
