25 days?!?!? Come on! Can anyone help?

So I was away for 2 days and when I came back I found out I have fallen victim to this EA/Fifa hack. All my MS points are gone and my password is changed so I can not access my account. I called support and was told these is an investigation in affect and not to expect much before 25 days. So I look on the net and of course the problem is rampant. Some say 90,000 accounts are affected.

So my question is what is with the 25 days? They arent going to find anything, can they not just reset my live ID and password? and worry about the details later?

25 Days? Who is feeding you these lies? I'm on Day 81. I've called back every couple weeks trying to get some visibility on what is going on with my account and the Xbox support hotline is pretty much telling me to wait longer because they have no communication with the investigation team.

I'm still waiting for a my $125 refund which I was assured, the day of the account being compromised, would be credited "soon."

Oh and god forbid there is a "huccup" in the process, because if ANYTHING happens to slow down the investigation, your 25 day (21 for me) estimate is thrown completely out the window.

I was told that because there was no alternate email address associated with my account, (Which was addressed and corrected less than 7 days after the case was opened) the investigation timeframe no longer applied.

Oh I did forget to mention, I was given a 1 month code to use to play online, I waited a while before I redeemed it so I have another 3 days left on my temporary account.

So pray someone in the "investigation" team dosen't do so much as drop their pen, this will make their 25 day investegation take months, or years to complete.

I suggest making a new account, address any fradulent charges with your bank.

I've given up all hope at this point with Microsoft's customer service, Battlefield, Call of Duty, and Assassin's Creed will all be purcahsed for PS3 at this point, and I'm on the verge of giving someone at Gamestop a raise for accepting 58 game Trade ins.

Yeah I called back and was told, that the 25 days is business days and that oh no it will never be longer than that. Nothing they can do blah blah.

It can, yes, but we quote 25 days because that is the longest it should take. If it goes over that, please call back in for a status update. :)
