20% off 12 months live + free game

my original post has disappeared but back in February 2011 I signed up for this deal get 20% off a year subscription to xbox live and a free game (there were 4 or 5 to choose from) i was never contacted about how to get the game... i waited a long time before complaining when i finally did i got a response within 24hrs...YAY! Miss Portia one of the forum admins asked me for some info and said she'd get it straightened out... here's how that went...

    ... So it has been another 9 weeks since you claimed to have solved this problem but still nothing has come. You said it would be here in 4-6 weeks. WTF! I borrowed the game from a friend completed it and gotten all of the achievements. How about getting Microsoft to credit my account enough Microsoft Points to purchase a different game from the Games On Demand of equal value ($49.99can) to Fable 3 when I signed up for this scam! It's been 6 months already and I am *** PISSED. Microsoft has basically stolen my money... as I would not have became a gold member if it weren't for this deal which was clearly too good to be true!

I've not heard anything back..... come February when my subscription ends I will not be supporting xbox anymore nor will I be buying anything else that is even remotely related to Microsoft.

Miss Portia works for Microsoft.  She has done things for me when things have gone awry.  Why don't you send her another PM explaining that you still haven't gotten the game and ask if she can find out what happened.  Maybe, if you even explain to her that you've already beaten the game and ask if she could find out about substituting for another she may even consider that.

You never know until you ask.

Either way, I don't think she'll be too happy that you didn't receive what was promised.  Remember, the prizes/promotions come from an outside company in Canada.

I don't understand why people make "threats" to Microsoft. like oh, I'm not buying gold again. well that's great, I'm sure you as one person closing your account will offset the other 30 mill Xbox live subscribers.yelling and screaming never got anything done. Call them up, and talk to the support team directly - waiting for PM is ridiculous. you're not the only person she have to help. your request might have gotten lost somewhere in between.
