Can you go to http://speedtest.net on a computer on the same network as your consoles, run the test, and post the result image back here. Thanks!

Hi, has this always been a problem? If your only using one Xbox at once I assume it works fine? Please find out if UPnP is on and if you are using port forwarding or a DMZ (or nothing). Some routers have issues with two or more Xboxes I'm afraid. Also ensure you are using the latest version of firmware on your router.

Also look in the management menu of your router the option for UPnP and Gaming mode, try enabling both of leave and setting your Xbox ip address to automatic

Also, Shad0wmanUK, my computer was recently wiped because it had a virus and i can't figure out a way to access my router options because it means installing the CD and setting up the router again, although it won't let me because it is already setup but i don't know how to get around this?

You can download your userguide here:- www.trendnet.com/.../list_subcategory.asp

And you can then access your router via your web browser, no need for a CD

I'm wondering if the two of you trying to share those relatively low internet speeds is the issue. I would expect a single user to experience some LIVE issues with those speeds, let alone two.

So, it's the speeds that are causing us to disconnect? I was thinking maybe i need to buy a Wireless Router that has been Verified by Xbox? , Or wouldn't that make a difference?

I wouldn't expect it to, no. If you can borrow one to try it out, go for it, but I don't want you to spend more money on a router when I'm fairly confident it is just your speeds. What speeds are you currently paying for? You can call up your ISP and inquire about this, and if they are supposed to be higher, ask what they or you can do to get better speeds.

I think its your router but Mster Gwyther is right your getting a lot less than your paying for. Virgin's lowest package is 10Mb/s and your falling way short. Can you connect your PC direct to the modem and run www.pingtest.net and www.speedtest.net again?

I retried the speed test and i got 9.67Mb/s. I told my neighbour that i was thinking about buying a new router however he suggested to me that it is probably because i need to upgrade to the 30Mb/s option on Virgin because apparently 10Mb/s is too slow for optimal online gaming. Should i take his advice and try the upgrade, or is this unlikely to cause the problem to be resolved?
