2 Red Ring Problem

My original Xbox 360 model is acting bizarrely. When I start up my console, all is fine. Then when I boot up a brand new copy of GTA IV it boots up normally as well. But then when I start playing, I notice that there are flickering white lines that aren't in the game. After less than a minute the Xbox shuts off and gives me two red rings that indicate an overheating problem. When I actually touch the Xbox, it is not warm at all. I have tried clearing out my space but to no avail. Is there something I can do about it or do I need a repair?

Needs a repair. But if its out of warrenty your best bet is to go buy a new slim version they are built to last. Just get the 4 gb hd one and buy the hd from ebay i got a 4 gb and payed 30 dollars more for the 250 hd and still came out cheaper then a repair.
