$2 For 2 Months?

Whenever I try to upgrade my account, I get this -

"Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later.

Status code: 80190848"

 

I tried turning my Xbox 360 off and it didn't change anything..

Where do I type my Status Code in?

That code means there's some sort of billing error. Go to billing.microsoft.com and make sure all of your information is correct and up to date, mainly your cards expiration date. If you can't fix it there you'll have to call billing and they'll help you sort it out.

It's a pre-paid credit card - Is that maybe the reason it's not working?

I've just recently used it to buy Microsoft points and everything was fine - I still have a balance of $30.

It could be. Some prepaid cards cannot be used on services with recurring payments and when you buy live through the Xbox it turns on auto-renewal. You may want to check the website of the prepaid card to see if that is the problem.
