2 different screen names in household???? 1 gold access

New to this xbox live. When I first switched on months ago for the 1 month free trial, I was given a screen name. My son uses the same xbox and has somehow also got a screen name. I have just bought a months membership gold. I can access it on my screen name but not my sons. If I sign in to windows live, it shows my screen name, but I can access his avatar etc, but cannot sign him into gold. Can anyone explain how this all works ??  Thank you

Each gamertag (screen name) are separate accounts. In order to have gold access for both, you would have to purchase a gold membership for each gamertag.

Simple. Every gamer has thier own gamertag. ("screen name" is a chat room term from the 90s, don't get confused). Your gamertag and your son's gamertag each have thier own gold premissions - you have gold, he doesn't.

I'd suggest the familiy pack for $100 a year. That's less then each of you having your own yearly membership ($60 a year each).
