1 year removed from Xbox LIVE Tenure

I got 1 year removed from my Xbox LIVE tenure! I should have 4 and i have 3 now, i don't know when this happened but i noticed it yesterday because my friend told me (Which also happened to him, but he got about 3 years removed), i tried deleting and recovering my profile but it didn't work, suggestions?

Hello Wreaver! I see you are having a problem with your tenure for your gamertag. I see you say you should have 4, but only have 3. Now have you ever let your account go into Silver Status? If so, that would be causing the problem because the computers for a long time were reading that Silver was added into the Tenure when it is in fact not supposed to be a part of it. That could be causing the issue you are currently having.

Tenure is based on the total years of Xbox LIVE Gold time completed. The clock stops when you go Silver/Free and Xbox LIVE Silver time does not add (or subtract) tenure. Tenure increases only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time ends. For your first year of Xbox LIVE Gold you see '0'; it ticks over to '1'  year of tenure when that year completes. If you've had Xbox LIVE Gold for 3 years and 6 months, you'll see a tenure of '3' next to your Gamertag.

http://commerce.microsoft.com lets you review, year by year, when you've been Gold and when you've been Free (Silver).

For example:

Jan 1 2010 - Dec 31 2010 = 0 years

Jan 1 2010 - Jan 1 2011 = 1 year

Please, could you review what you see on this account over at http://commerce.microsoft.com and tally the years and months of GOLD, round down, and then report back? Thank you!

@WR3AV3R

You can check that at    http://commerce.microsoft.com

sign in with your email account linked to your Gamertag

Then click on Subscriptions, look for View History click on that there you'll see when you paid for gold and for how long it was for.

Cheers

I looked at my subscriptions and apparently i have been Gold for 3 years and 5 months, i'm sure i have been more, and i find it weird that i had a 4 on my profile before for more than 6 months

Hi WR3AV3R,

Then your tenure is accurately being accounted for.  Previously the tenure was not accurately being calculated, Xbox has now fixed this problem, explaining why you have seen the change from 4 to 3.  You can see more info about it in this thread HERE also below is a snippet from that thread that would be applicable to your situation

For some of you newer Xbox LIVE Gold users that are seeing a bump from say 2 years to 1 or 4 years to 3, you are now seeing the correct tenure. I know that some of you might be frustrated that you thought you'd accrued more tenure than you have but previously your Xbox LIVE Silver time was not being accurately seen by the system.  This was fixed as part of the bigger tenure issue, plus we know that tenure is important to you and that's why we want to make sure it's right!
