Xbox wireless usb adapter for Win 10, no driver

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with using the Xbox wireless adapter. I recommend to try the following article: Troubleshoot the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. 

Give this a try and let us know the results. 

Ty for replying, yes I went through the forums and the online help tool for 5 hours this morning, I even turned my Comp. all the way off and back on ;)

Unistalled all drivers and devices, shut down, restart. install device, no good, I tried all the bluetooth drivers as well just to be sure, but no luck so far. 

Controller works when plugged in.

Thanks for the reply. Have you tried this adapter on another PC? If theXbox Wireless Adapter for Windowsstill does not install, the adapter may need to be replaced.

My Laptop is also running Win 10 and does not recognize the new out of the box adapter, however, it is also updated so it's running the same OS as my desktop, if the problem is windows, we wouldn't be able to tell what is not working.  Just e-mail me a driver to test it or give me a link or send me some test software. As I did my mornings research, I found "many!"people having the same issue for years. I find it more believable and easier to test if it's a software issue.

Here is an image of the piece that I am having a hard time with.

Under "Bluetooth & other devices" it is listed as:

XBOX ACC

Driver is unavailable

So Win 10 knows what it is, it just doesn't have a driver for it. 

Please send me link to a driver or to software that I can use to diagnose the issue. Yes, I have paired an Bluetooth item before. Yes, the controller works wired. 

8 hours of talking to you experts and I have only got links to your forums that clearly said I had been through before posting on here. 

Do I need to have gamepass to make this work?
