Xbox Series X Replica Mini Fridge Problems

I know a lot of people wanting these and wanted to give everyone a heads up on this product because it is listed as "Xbox Official Gear".

Great for the novelty but inferior design.

I bought two of these and was completely disappointed. Only buy if you are a collector and do not plan to use it.

I should have known something was up when I opened the door and saw the sticker. This sticker is a lie and is not a normal operation. Or maybe it is true due to inferior engineering. The problem is the inferior design that fails to seal out air from the top outside of the cooling unit allowing air to get inside the fridge to lower cooling unit right below it. This causes condensation to build inside the top of the unit on the cooling fins and drip down filling the top on the cans with water and flooding out the inside of the fridge. Let it run over two weeks and it will turn the top inside of the cooling vent into a block of ice blocking all airflow stopping the cooling and you no longer have cold drinks. Makes a mess of water inside and becomes completely useless when it ices up.

I have several different mini-fridges and none of them sweat with condensation or have ever iced up.

Within a few hours of turning it on.

After a couple of weeks of running it becomes completely useless icing up the vent blocking all airflow.

I just had the same issue. I've been running it nonstop for about 3 weeks or so and saw all the ice built up. It was making my fan sound like something was making it stick. I finally chipped out most of the ice and it appears to be running fine for the time being. I'm not sure if you're only supposed to run it for a few days at a time or what. If that was the case, it wouldn't be very convenient since it takes a while before it actually becomes cold enough. Maybe is talks more about ideal operating time in the manual I'm too lazy to dig out.

It is an inferior design if you cant use it all the time without this happening. I took the inside top of mine apart and it has air gaps where the plastic shield snaps into the top opposite on the two screws in the back. These two gaps allow air in from the outside of the unit causing a never-ending cycle of condensation and ice buildup. Any fridge should be a sealed unit to prevent outside humidity from entering causing condensation to build up.

If anything this fridge will be great for growing mold inside the shield at the top of the unit.

LMAO. I was originally thinking it could draw in air from the outside and it cools that and sends that through the fridge to bypass having a condenser or something a regular fridge would have. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to manually defrost it every couple of weeks until it completely fails.

Very strange. It sounds like a power delivery issue. I'd make sure the cord is solidly plugged into the back of the fridge. I'd also try other power outlets and see what happens. If all else fails, you can register it and get a warranty replacement.

I’ve tried about every outlet in 3 different rooms. The power light on the back just blinks and the fan tries to spin but only spins when the light blinks I’ve tried numerous power cables including the car adapter that is provided and still 0 luck
