Xbox Series X multiplayer with Xbox one

So I have a question about Xbox Series X multiplayer. So I know that they already said that series X can play with xbox one but they also said that not all games are compatible. So my main question is if I have a game on xbox one that has online multiplayer and I can play with my friends, then if I play the same game on series x will I still be able to play with my friends on xbox one since series x has basically full backwards compatibility with xbox one.

Hello there,

every Xbox 360 and or Xbox one game you can play via backwards compatibility on your series X/S share the same multiplayer network, so yes you can play those games with your friends across different generations of Xbox. However for future games releasing on Xbox one and series X/S separately, I can't confirm that it will work a 100%.
