Xbox one X -YouTube glitch.

i have been having problems with youtube playbacks with all videos. This pic is just the latest. Internet speed is super fast, i’ve reinstalled the app multiple times. Ive inplugged the console for over 20 hrs. Im on a Samsung 4k TV ( yes 4k setting are correct!). I see alot of other people are having similar problems but i can’t ask them question because the thread is always locked for some unspecified reason.... hulu, netflix, amazon, cw, an amc no issues. Has anyone solved this problem??

(Also xbox don’t like land lines but ill address that problem at another time)

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.  Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.  Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't work try uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

Try clearing the cache and then reinstall the app bro. Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out. Then wait another 30 and turn it on again. After trying this, reinstall the app. It may work for you :D.

I have also been seeing this on the youtube app. It been happening for months.

Hard Reset does not resolve it, I think its an issue with youtube its self.

I have seen it a few time on the PC when i am playing videos in full screen mode.

Hi Stoner70,

We have been seeing reports come in through the forums and other support platforms about this issue and it has been acknowledged. Xbox engineers will need to work together with YouTube app developers to find the root cause and either implement an update for the YouTube app from the developer or have a fix be implemented in the next console system update.

From what I've seen, the issue only occurs with the Xbox One X on 4K UHD trying to view 4K videos on YouTube but it could just be a 4K issue between Xbox servers and YouTube's servers since you say it's occurred on your wife's Xbox One S and it seem to be happening on all videos for you and not just 4K.

I recommend calling Xbox customer support and reporting the issue through them, and also I highly recommend reporting this issue to the Xbox Insider team directly from your Xbox. You can be detailed with the report and include screenshots which is really helpful.

Best Wishes,
Diego

Not just limited to 4k. I'm using my Xbox One X on a 1080p TV watching 1080p content on YouTube and I'm getting the same issue. Glad to know I'm not the only one with the problem though. I was starting to get concerned that there was an issue with my console that is barely six months old.

I have the same problem and so do many others. Microsoft really needs to fix this or let people know how to fix it.
