Xbox Live Gold Account and Xbox 360 S

I've had an Xbox Live Gold subscription on my Xbox One S since I bought it. I recently bought a refurbished Xbox 360 S console because I got some used Xbox 360 games and found out they were not backward compatible with my Xbox One. After setting the 360 S up, I wanted to connect it to my Xbox Live Gold account so I could also play the 360 games that came with Live Gold on the 360 S ( yes, I know I can play them on the One S, but I wanted to be able to play them on the 360 S as well, lol....) , but the only thing it shows on the 360 S settings is Xbox Live. and when I select that, it goes to a page where it wants me to purchase a new Xbox Live Gold account.

My question is, do I have to buy a separate Gold account for the 360 S ( which ain't happening MS, sorry...), or is there a way to connect the 360 S to the Gold account that my One S is using?

You would just need to download your account to the 360 to continue using it there. https://support.xbox.com/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-remove-profile-xbox-360

As long as you have downloaded (signed in with the same email and password) you are using on the one then your gold subscription should carry over to the 360.

Now keep in mind on the xbox one the xbox live gold subscriptions can be shared between accounts as long as the account that has the gold subscription sets that console as its home console, On the 360s though each account has to have its own subscription.

You can check the status of your subscription by signing into your account at account.microsoft.com/services to make sure the account that you signed into on your 360 is the one with the gold subscription.

just download your profile on your 360 console. So you can play on both consoles.
