Xbox gift card won't redeem

Hi Microsoft,

I bought a £5.00 gift card today from game and when I try to redeem it, it says "code not found. Try re-entering it. If that doesn't work, please contact the merchant. Could you please activate it ASAP.

Chances are they didn't activate the code. First off take it back to game with your receipt and ask them to activate it.

No the retailer you purchased it from has to activate it. This stops anybody pinching a card and saying the store didn't activate it.

So If I gave yous the code yous wouldn't be able to activate it. Cause I really need the code and I have no way of getting back to game so I can't get my money back

I suggest returning it back to the place of purchase, with the receipt. I’m sure they have a return policy of some sort. Hopefully, you can exchange it for a valid code.

Nobody on the forums or in Support can help activate your card. We do not have access to your account or billing. You will need to take it back ti Game, with your receipt and they have to activate the code.
