Xbox Games not Auto Updating

They are set to but don't update until I open a game when I go to play it. This is annoying when most of them take 4 or 5 hours for the FPS games. I have an Xbox X. Connected via WiFi as I can not Run a cable. How do I fit this?

Your Xbox console energy mode is set to Standby?
Please double check that using this article if needed:

If yes, may I know automatic updates for your Xbox console and apps are enabled?
If needed check this other article:
https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/...

If that's the case, try disabling automatic updates temporarily
After that power cycle the console:
1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

And finally enable automatic updates for everything again
