Xbox 360 - Error 801540A9 (Downloading Profile)

Hey,

I am trying to download my profile my Xbox 360 (Xbox Live account was created in the Windows 10 Xbox App), however when I put in my email and app password I am presented with the following message: "Sorry, there's a problem with the credentials that you're using to sign in. Go to https://account.live.com to fix the problem." It then says a couple of lines below "801540A9". I am pretty sure that all the login credentials are correct so I'm not sure what the issue is exactly. I've done some browsing an seen people clearing the cache so I've done this and still the error persists. 

N.B. My Microsoft Account has 2-step verification enabled.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hey FalconTheBird, 

Since you have 2-Step enabled, you will need to log in using your regular email and an App Password in place of your normal password. This password can be created by going to your Security tab > Click on "More security options" > Go down to "App Passwords" > Then choose "Create a New Password" > Finally, plug it into the password section of your log-in.
