When i try to turn my series s/x controller on the light just flashes and my controller doesn’t turn on, it isn’t because my controller isn’t connected to my xbox because i have tried with a wire and my holding the button on my console and controller and have tried resetting my xbox.

Hello Lewis Anderson1,
Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.
I can see that your series s/x controller is not working properly. There are a few possible reasons why your controller might be flashing and not turning on. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:
- Make sure your controller has fresh batteries or is fully charged. You can check the battery level by pressing the Xbox button on the controller and looking at the battery icon on the screen.
- If you are using a wireless controller, make sure it is paired with your console. To do this, press and hold the pair button on the console for three seconds, then press and hold the pair button on the controller for three seconds. You should see a solid light on the controller when it is paired.
- If you are using a wired controller, make sure the cable is securely plugged into the controller and the console. Try using a different cable if possible.
- If none of these steps work, you may need to update your controller firmware. To do this, connect your controller to your console with a USB cable, then go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Select your controller and choose Firmware version > Update now.
