Vizio TV model VX37L cuts off the edges of the video

My Vizio TV model VX37L cuts off the edges of the video for most games. How do I fix this? I contacted Vizio support and they were no help. They said I need to set a 16:9 ratio, but I've tried the only two settings available (720p and 1080p), and neither of them fix the problem. Help!

I have the same problem. Some games have an option to shrink the screen size, but most don't. The dashboard needs an option to change screen size. Because I can't do it manually on my tv.
