VIRGIN MEDIA SUPERHUB

Just after some opinions on Virgin media superhub, which I am soon to have installed.  I will be using a wired connection (60MB) for my xbox use, so if your using the same set up would appreciate your opinions.  Also wondering if it comes with NAT settings as open or if im going to have to play about with it, if so any info on port forwarding etc would be good.  Thanks.

I upgraded to Virgin 60Mb back in August.  Haven't had any issues so far.  What used to take all day to doanload on my old Sky package now takes 20 minutes.

their have been problems but it all depends what firmware the hub is on, a new firmware is being tested and rolled out to fix many problems.

Though I have not had any problems in a long time and I am on 120mb dl and 12mb ul

I have the super hub just got it last week. It has the Software version R36 and had no issues with it at all

I've got the superhub too on 60mb. Downloads are quick. Using wireless though and it drops out on occasion and I have to reboot the hub.

I'm using the superhub also with 60mb. Haven't had any problems with the superhub since it was installed and I'm on wireless aswell.

I have had no problem with mine wired. only once did my settings go to moderate but a reboot of the hub solved this. wired it drops out every now and again but havent tried since it updated 2 days ago.

I got a superhub installed last week after my old virgin modem died,

The superhub is much better not had any issues at all and before with the old modem my NAT type was always moderate and with the superhub it's always open.

ive had the superhub before and just had the occasional probelms but nothing much. virgin itself is another story. i was being charged for things i never used/had. my bill was never what it should have been (£35 but always paid £60-£70 a month!). im now with talk talk using the adsl wireless router and i can tell the difference but it dosnt cause too much of a problem. so in my opinion its either have excellent speeds and pay a massive amount of money or get average speeds and pay what i should pay (a low price of £30 with 500 mins to mobiles,unlimited evening calls to landlines every month), im sticking with talk talk and never looking back!
