Virtual agent claims to be sending me to a place to live chat with a real person, but this is untrue and results in an endless loop of encounters with the virtual agent.
This trap was by design and was updated within the last year or so. The motivation for a business to do this is to make more money and to frustrate their loyal customers causing a downfall of the company by "the enemy within" strategy. The way out is immediate firing of those "enemy within" responsible for this malicious behavior toward the loyal customer and the company.
If no live persons are available, then this should be the verbiage presented so that no one's valuable time is wasted. An hours available indication should also be presented. If this time includes the present, then a link should be provided to report a web page coding error--unless there are more "enemies within" lurking within the organization requiring further immediate purging.
