redeem Microsoft rewards give to family member

How do you give a family member Microsoft rewards points?

Hi Rodolfo,

You may transfer reward points to family members as per the below.

  1. Go to the Microsoft account family page and add your family members. Then visit your family leaderboard in Microsoft Rewards to give points.
  2. At the moment a level 1 Microsoft Rewards member may only give or receive 1,000 points per calendar month. Level 2 members may give or receive 5,000 points per calendar month. These limits may change over time.

Microsoft Services Agreement - Microsoft Rewards

2. Points. Except for donating your points to a nonprofit organization listed in the redemption center, you cannot transfer points. Points are not your personal property, and you may not obtain any cash or money in exchange for them. Points are awarded to you on a promotional basis. You cannot purchase points. Microsoft may limit the quantity of points or Rewards per person, per household, or over a set period (e.g., a day). You may redeem no more than 550,000 points per calendar year in the Program. Points earned in the Program are not valid in, and may not be used in combination with, any other program offered by Microsoft or third parties. Unredeemed points expire if you do not earn or redeem any points for 18 months.

You cant transfer points. But in terms of some things one can gift in certain situations. Example per say  if you win a console or controller etc. You can give that reward to a family member etc. Just not officially by a transfer method

The reason for this is to prevent people from running multiple accounts and then combining them under the master account.
