Open NAT but still can't connect

I have an open NAT and can connect to most people but still can not connect to one of my friends. Every now and them I am able to connect to him randomly but this is rare. I can be in parties with him if there is someone else in there that we can both connect to. I have all my ports forwarded to my xbox and made its IP a DMZ. What can i do to fix this?

Hi,

Using portforwarding and a DMZ at the same time can cause a conflict so I would turn one of those of (and UPnP if its enabled) because that can certainly cause confusion

If you still have issues after doing that please read:- forums.xbox.com/.../811997.aspx

And post back your details in full (the bits that are in bold on that post) so that people may help

If you are wireless can you also state whether you are using the white or black external adapter or the Xbox 360S Internal adapter

Thanks

Hi,

Despite your NAT saying its Open its very likely that isn't the case (unless you have bridged the Speedstream in the past) here you go this should resolve your problem:-

A small question. When you can speak to your friend, is that when you guys are with the 2 of you? Then you could be thinking of that it's his NAT whats not open...

captin, there are a few reasons, one could be that one of you doesn't have an Open NAT despite what is being reported, another could be if you are using the same ISP, some ISP's can have this problem

Hey guys, I am having the exact same issues as the OP.  I have one friend that I cannot connect to (not even an xbox live party), but we can join a third persons party and we will then be able to play with each other.  As soon as the third person leaves our party, then the game and party chat boot us both.

We both seem to have open NAT, and I am currently trying to see if it is a problem on my end or his.  Apparently I am the only person he has this problem with, and he is the only person I have this problem with.

I will include my network connection stats below.

I live in Texas, USA

Modem:  Not sure what my modem is... possibly an Ambit model no. U10C018

Router:   Netgear WNR100 v2

Wired Connection

Have not messed with UPnp

Open NAT

ISP:  Time Warner Cable

X: 0000 - F001

Y: 20A8 -4840

Z: 0000 - 0000

L: 0015 - 10F0

Q: 8007 - 0435

T: Wired

D:

S:

C:

(I had no D, S, or C show up on my network test)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how to find all my imformation like that, but I have tried each thing that the net has suggested. I've tried them sperately, I've tried them all at once, I've tried them in variation, and nothing has worked, and yet each time I do it, I continues to say I have an Open NAT and that everything is fine, and yet I STILL cannot party up with people. I play Destiny now, almost religiously and I can join Fireteams left and right without any problem at all, but I can't hear anyone in my team. I have 1 friend that I can group in an xbox party with and if everyone groups on him, then I can hear every as if they were sitting right beside me. I have sent all my friends and everyone else i game with, multiple how to's on fixing the problem on their end, but even with some of them, it still doesn't make a difference. At this point, I really don't care to fix this cause I've given up on Microsoft almost completely. I just simply want a reason as to WHY this is a constant problem.
