Not meeting the requirements in 2k22

Hello i'm Josiah and i'm 12 years old.

I have an Xbox x and am wondering what i need to change. When ever i go into my account and go into nba 2k22 and i click on my player its says you have to be online to continue and when i go to connect it say your account does not meet the requirements

there is an age restriction on the 2K side too, so if you are 12 and your xbox live has the correct DOB then you aint gonna get very far.

Thank you the tips i have verified my 2k22 account. What do i do now? By the way am i suppose to link my account with Xbox or epic games. Could you please tell me what to do maybe 3 steps ahead thanks a lot

Perfect and you should be able to play the game now.

If ever the same issue occurs, it would be best to submit a ticket to 2k so they can validate what is causing the issue as well as guide you with the steps needed.

that game has nothing to do with epic,

the following applies to most 2K sports games

How Old Do You Have to Be to Play NBA 2K?

In order to play NBA 2K MyCareer, you need to be 18 years old. If your account is under the age requirement, you’ll get an error message.

the above means you cannot play as you are 12.

it still not working i took some photos.The first one when i am in the home page and click connect and the second one is i click on my player i'm sorry this is taking a long time i have put my age to 18 plus

Thanks for that. Kindly perform a powercycle then check again.

Also, make sure that you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

so you are gladly helping a 12 year old child circumvent age related blocks, he is 12, the game requires you to be 18. This is a parental issue and technically we should not be assisting.

The game looks at the DOB from the xbox live account and uses that, does not matter if you change it on the 2K account, he will not be able to play due to this age requirement.
