NBA 2K20. MyCareer Age Requirement

Hello all,

I just got 2k20 and when I have tried to access the MyCareer option, it says that my user account is under the age requirement or it has not been created. I have adjusted the age of my account to over 18 but the same problem still occurs.

I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem as well and if they could help me?

Try Removing Your Xbox One Account

Do a Power cycle / reset

Add your account and sign back in.

Also, might be worth checking the developer/publisher account you may have had to set up to play 2K20 and checking if it meats the age criteria.

Hello all,

Is your account managed by a senior or responsible person? If it is configured this way the ideal is to ask the responsible person to check. Now if this is not the case, try clearing the console cache and logging in again.

How do you set up the MYPLAYER Account in the first place? H have an adult Xbox account so I figured the problem is that there is no MYPLAYER account yet. Support for NBA2K20 first told me my account had been deleted which cannot be true on a new game, sent some suggestions for checking my Xbox account and will not tell me how to set up the MYPLAYER Account. They now just repeat a nonsensical reply saying to contact Xbox but the wording is idiotic and it is obvious that it is an automated reply. Can anyone post how to create tge MYPLAYER account?

I had the same problem. I added VC to the wrong account, but when I tried to play MyCareer on the account I had put the age too low. This worked for me...

First, you need to go to Settings -> Account -> Family Settings. Then add a family member, should be over “18.” Then, on the account that is the family member, go to manage family members and add the account that is too young. Select it and go to Privacy & Online Safety -> Xbox Live Privacy. Switch to Adult Defaults. Hopefully that helps!

You went to the Connect menu and did what? I've poked around in every menu. If there is something that needs to be done but has not, it is a ridiculously poor setup for 2k to ignore the issue and Microsoft to allow this idiotic situation to continue.
