Modding on Game Pass PC Games

Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout New Vegas GOTY were recently added to XGP (Xbox Game Pass) and show that they are open to Mod Support.

When I click Enable Mods it allows me to open the Mod Folder (Image Below):

However when I tried to paste in the Fallout Script Extender and open up the loader to see if it runs I get this error:

When I go to alter permissions and add the administrator or my user account as an authorized user with Full Control over the parent and child folders nothing happens and this is still the issue.

Is there a way to resolve this issue? As most mods for a Bethesda title rely on the Script Extender. Can only mods that don't require the Script Extender be installed?

The Script Extender is probably forgetting to set the right permissions, only allowing SYSTEM as allowed.

This would make sense if it was only the Script Extender, however even when I try to run the launcher.exe it gives the same problem. It's almost as if everything within the "Modifiable Files" isn't actually modifiable ... :/

So after a few days of tinkering , I managed to get the files into an executable state. It was literally as simple as copying the parent folder of each game (G:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\Fallout 3 (PC)) out of that folder into an arbitrary folder (G:\Bethesda Games\Fallout 3). However Fallout Script Extender still won't work due to the version on Game Pass not being supported by the Extender.

A plugin could probably be written to amend this.

It's the best solution I've found so far.

also to save space you can delete the folders which are a different language to your own, Microsoft have done a dum thing by making you download 5 copies of the game as they don't offer individual language packs resulting in a 43GB download and all that space taken.
