Hello,
So, last month I signed up for a Minecraft Realm subscription (Bedrock Edition) with a free one month trial. My free trial is up as of a few days ago and my Realm now says it is Expired. However, I had automatic renewal enabled and I have already been charged for this month. What should I do? If I need to cancel my subscription and start it over again, how do I get refunded for the fee I was already charged this month?
I tried contacting Mojang and was directed to Microsoft, but there doesn't appear to be any way to request a refund on a subscription. This seems to be a very common issue for people and I would like to know how to resolve it so that my Realm is no longer expired without being double charged.
Thanks in advance!

Hello MiltonMartin159,
Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums.
To confirm, you currently have an active Minecraft Realms subscription but the renewal is not reflecting for your version of Minecraft, is that correct?
Can you also please confirm if your automatic renewal is through the Microsoft store or elsewhere?
Lastly, when you attempted to contact Mojang, was it through this submit a request feature: Minecraft - Submit a Request. If so, did you by chance have a ticket number or confirmation of the ticket submission?
While we look into this error, I would ask not to cancel your subscription until we can confirm if it may be an account error or an error on the backend with Minecraft. However, if you choose to request a refund, you may do so by following the steps here: Request a refund for digital games.
I look forward to your response :)

Yes I have a Minecraft Realms subscription that was set to auto-renew, but my realm was showing as expired.
When I signed up for the realm, I believe I set up the automatic renewal in-game (Minecraft for Windows on my pc).
Yes, I contacted Mojang through the submit a request. This was the confirmation number for my submission: 3348478.
I actually followed up with Mojang and they were able to apply 30 days to my realm, thus making it active again. This is what they said:
"Thanks for reaching back out with that information. I have located your account and applied 30 days to your Realm [Moderator removed to protect personal information] based on your purchase. If the added days are not reflected in game, you may need to log out and log back in again to refresh the connection with our servers.
Unfortunately, manually adding days to a Realm prevents any auto renewals from occurring. Because of this, your subscription is no longer connected to this realm, and we recommend canceling your subscription within 30 days to avoid any additional charges. That said, please keep in mind that extending your realm will end up failing.
Any additional days you try to add will no longer apply and you would still be charged. Other than that, you should have no problem extending a new Realm whenever you’re ready to do so."

Hello MiltonMartin159,
Thank you for your response! It sounds as though Mojang was able to assist you with this error. By chance, did you need assistance with canceling your auto-renewal or were you able to do so with the link I provided in my previous post?
