Minecraft not offering me the 4.99 upgrade

I have purchased the xbox 360 version of minecraft but when i get on my xbox one and try to upgrade in the store it only gives me the option to buy it for 20$. Is there something i need to do to get the 4.99 upgrade?

You need to own your own copy disc or digital from Xbox 360, and be using the account which you use on the Xbox 360 system. It will then automatically list the discounted price. When I downloaded it, there was no option for me to pay the X1's full RRP for it, it just listed straight up the discounted price with middle line through the full RRP. Also did you get the 360 version BEFORE Friday, how long ago?

I have the same issue i have the 360 version on the same account as i want to purchase the xbox one version but it is only showing as the £13.39 not the supposed upgrading price of £3.39

I also bought the full digital version on 360, have played that version with Xbox live, but when logged in with the same account on my Xbox One I only get the $19.99 option. MS support said wait 24 hours and there would be a "pop up", but it has been two days and still no pop up. What gives?

Have you guys tried purchasing it from Xbox.com on your computer? I was having the same problem you're all having when trying to purchase on the Xbox One console, but on the website it let me upgrade for $4.99.

Minecraft is no longer appearing $4.99 for me either. It used to, and the promotion was supposed to run for a year, and it still advertises it on the site for $4.99, but its full price on site and on Xbox One.
