LET'S DISCUSS GRIEFING!

Xbox has a strict "NO GRIEFING" policy.

"A griefer or bad faith player is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game (trolling), using aspects of the game in unintended ways."

Was there ever a time you experienced griefing? How did you deal with it?

If you find yourself dealing with a toxic player. Your best bet would be to simply report them for unsporting behavior and give a small example of their behavior in the details of the report. If they continue to harass you via messages or threw chat. Simply report them for that behavior as well and then block them.

There's a simple way to deal with this topic. Report the player. Don't engage, just report and move on.

I used to experience this in FIFA all the time. My suggestion is always report them and do NOT respond back to them.

It depends on the game, team based games where I get harassed I simply report and go on my way. Such as R6 Siege. Others like GTA I get frustrated but I dont really care because of what the game is about. But for the majority of game I report griefers and bad sports.

Haha yes in Ark, this person was the biggest troll on the server. Only way to deal with this person was to play his game. Long story short we ended up being good friends.

I played Fallout76 for a while.  It's the only game so far that I've experienced griefing.   Slightly annoying but I blocked and moved server.  And let the big boys in the server dish out vengeance on him when he became wanted.  Cant let them spoil your experience.

I've experienced it a number of times in different games across different platforms - sadly any community will have an element to it which is simply put toxic!  On Xbox there are tools to help, reporting to the enforcement team is an option where the behaviour will be investigated & if serious enough sanctions will take place.  You can also mute & block people as well which lessens the chances of that account getting to you.

Beyond that I'm a fairly relaxed kind of person, if someone's trolling in a game I've got stacks of games around that I can just as easily jump into in order to escape those people.  Life's too short to waste on people who get their kicks off of ruining other's fun!

Hey thanks for bringing this to us and sorry that your going through this issue. The best possible way to deal with these types of players are to report them on what situation it is and block them. No need to engage in the conflict. If you just report and block you did your part. I hope this was helpful.

As long as the player is simply expressing their frustrations, I tend to ignore (possible mute). Once attacks/harassment becomes personal/targeted I will typically block and report. Never engage these players by responding to the harassment. Lead by example. :)
