I'm a bit curious about buying games versus buying DLCs. I understand perfectly well that you can't play a DLC without having the game that uses it, but what about buying a DLC before buying the game? Let's say, hypothetically, I wanted to buy Alien: Isolation but start with buying the Lockdown DLC before actually getting the game. If I buy a game's DLC before buying the game, will the DLC be saved into my account? And then, when I do buy the game and install it into my Xbox One, will the DLC be installed as well since I will have bought it beforehand?
I realize that this may be a silly question, but it's one that I've been asking myself for years; and it's been driving me nuts.
