Is blu-ray player app on xbox one x going to support Dolby Vision?

Till now, the only app support dolby vision on xbox is netflix.

Thanks for posting your question on the forums. There isn't a sure way to know if this will happen. You can post a suggestion on Xbox ideas. They may already have it for a future update, but they don't release this information.

Good question! I would assume it's something that they would towards but I would go to the user voice website here

I hope to see Dolby Vision supported in Blu Ray app as well, but currently only HDR10 is uspported. Dobly vision is supported for streaming.

It seems like a logical step, but there hasn't been any official announcement yet.

I see that you are a Microsoft Agent, how can you not find an official line on this? (not asked angrily :-) ...) 

The Blu-Ray app routinely crashes and won't start with a number of discs, and it does seem that it's the ones with DV encoding that give the biggest issues here. However this app has an *awful* rating on the store, and is genuinely considered one of the secondary (but massive) reasons for people choosing an XBox One X.

We all really want the console to do well, it really needs a working Blu-Ray app.
