I migrated Minecraft to the wrong Microsoft account, followed the FAQ and contacted Minecraft Support but they told me they can't help and to ask Microsoft Support for help

Migrated my minecraft account the other day because there was a notification in minecraft.net

I chose one of my emails and migrated the account but then I realized that was the wrong email (the one I use for my studies and not the one I use for gaming)

Minecraft Support told me to contact Microsoft Support and here I am now

What do I do?

I have a similar issue. I migrated per Microsofts instructions. I migrated to my only Microsoft account. This account already was being used for my son's account. So now I cannot access it at all and when my son access his account on an e-mail account that should be valid, he cannot get to our realm or even the regular game. All that can be accessed is a demo game. And sorry, there were no warnings at all about what was going to happen. It simply did it and apparently wiped my old account in the process. All I want is for anyone associated with this realm to be able to access it. I was the administrator of the realm so I am not sure what has happened to the account but the other players should at least be able to access it. We have played this realm for years and put in hundreds of hours. Please help us at least access it and make another player the admin so we can play it

Is there any way that mojang or whoever is running this whole migration thing to be able to switch email when logging into Minecraft ? Because I have the same problem as the person that asked the question. And I’ve had this problem for a few days. I migrated my account and thought I could change my email. So I did. And when I tried logging into 3rd party clients with the old email it says sign in with the account you used to migrate. I cannot play on 3rd party clients anymore because they won’t accept my log in. I can play on the original Minecraft launcher but that’s not the problem. I really hope that they allow to change the email when signing into your Microsoft/mojang account because I really don’t what to do. I’ve contacted mojang customer support as well as Microsoft about this situation but my problem is not fixed :(. Sorry if I’ve bothered anyone with this but any help is appreciated. Idk if this makes any sense omg

They say it cannot be undone, but that is complete BS. What they really meant to say is that it is a huge hassle for them to undo it. Basically, just yell at them and escalate the situation until you get what you want; just like dealing with any other kind of support. The reason they tell you to contact support instead of just flat out saying it's impossible, is because they hope you'll just buy that answer and stop persisting. If it really couldn't be undone, then that would be the answer on the FAQ.

They say it cannot be undone, but that is complete BS. What they really meant to say is that it is a huge hassle for them to undo it. Basically, just yell at them and escalate the situation until you get what you want; just like dealing with any other kind of support. The reason they tell you to contact support instead of just flat out saying it's impossible, is because they hope you'll just buy that answer and stop persisting. If it really couldn't be undone, then that would be the answer on the FAQ.

No you dont just yell at them until you get what you want. That'll just get you hung up on.

People like you who do that are part of the reason people like me quit customer support jobs and refuse to go back. We are tired of dealing with abusive people like you.

Thats just not cool and the support person doesnt deserve your abuse. Be better human being.

Well at least im not a dispicable excuse for a human being that treats people like garbage for stuff that is completely outside of their control


There is a difference between "making a fuss" and abusing the person on the other end who couldnt do what you want even if they wanted to (just following policy usually)


You think theyd rather get yelled at than just do what you wanted if they could?


Anyone who was pleasant id go above and beyond for (even going above my own head to a supervisor or higher if it would help) but people like you id do the bare minimum for.


As the saying goes you get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar.
