How do you share Game Pass Ultimate on PC

Hi,

Should be straightforward, but ....

How do I share Game Pass Ultimate on PC.

Works on Xbox Console.

I have logged in with the owner account - downloaded the app.

Start the app - fine. Works as expected.

Log in to family account (my son) and start the app - fails to start "accounts don't match".

This is with Minecraft Java edition as the app if that helps.

Not sure if this is due to the strange start sequence, where you have to launch from the minecraft version chooser.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello, S_Reindl. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas, and I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

Game Pass/Ultimate are available for sharing with your family only on the console. Yes, some users made it work on the PC by doing exact what you did: signing in on the Microsoft store with the subscription owner account and on the Xbox app with the family account that wants to have the subscription benefits.

This should work for some games, but other games requires you to be signed in on the Microsoft store with the same account that you are signed in on the Xbox app. If that is the case (like Minecraft Java), unfortunately you will not be able to play it.

I'm sorry about this.
