Horizontal white lines flickering while on my Xbox

I got my new Xbox series X a few weeks ago and it's been great. I also got a jew Sony X900H 85 inch which looks great. I just woke up this Sunday morning and went straight to my Xbox but when i got in my game, there were whote flickering horizontal lines. Not sure what's going on, is it my Xbox or my TV. I've been playing for weeks and it's been working fine. I don't want to use a different TV, i tried switching my HDMI cable but it still happened. Any idea on how to fix this? I can watch movies and shows directly through my TV with no issues but once i switch to my Xbox series X, then the line are on the screen. Microsoft support said they can start a repair order and I'll have to send it to them, but it took me so long to get it i really don't want to send it away.

PLEASE HELP!

Did you resolve the issue? If not, try "restarting" the TV,  NOT simply turning the TV off then on again. Restart the TV by holding the power button on your remote, the option to restart the TV will then pop up. Some X900H users have experienced similar issues and restarting seems to clear the error, though the cause is still unknown by the community.

I'm having the exact same problems with my xbox series x and my Sony KD-49XH8096BAEP. I also restarted my tv but this didn't help either.

I hope you guys can help me out

Did you ever find a solution? I’m experiencing something very similar where certain games are having horizontal flickering lines but when I watch tv it’s fine. I sent my Xbox in for repair but not sure if it’ll actually fix the issue.

I'm getting a similar thing. Lines of different lengths on screen.. not all the time though. And they appear around objects on screen.. like windows on Xbox home screen. A nasty scratchy kind of interference... hard to describe. Read it might be to do with VRR, but my TV hasn't got that, so can't really be the cause in my case.

Did mention might also be a 120hz issue, so I've changed to 60hz and gonna see how that goes. I've had my series x since December 2020 and this issue only started a few weeks ago. Hoping it doesn't get worse.

Same problem, go  to  picture mode  on  tv, flick  up  to  cinema, then  back  to  game  mode  and  the  lines  will  be  gone, they  will  still  come  back  occasionally, but  thats  a  quick  fix

Hi guys I found the issues please find this link from Sony https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00029615

In order to make these settings available you need to change your display output to 1080p so there’s something wrong with the Sony TVs. When you go into 4K the settings on the tv go blank and won’t let you change them if anyone find away to fix this for 4K please let me know

We had this issue after we’d taken the xbox (Series X) to a friends house. It didn’t have the problem there but it did when we plugged it in back home.

We tried all sorts but what fixed it was unplugging the power cable and changing the cable around (like it was in the wrong way in the xbox)

haven’t had the problem since.

Hope this helps.

Same here, series x... started a month or so, i have a 4k Samsung tv and have intermittent horizontal white lines occasionally flashing across the screen, its very annoying, changed hdmi cable, it doesn't happen when playing ps4, only series x, my son has a series s and no problem with that when it switches to 4k and back again so it has to be the series x 🙄🙃
