Game Pass Ultimate on PC, Flight Simulator "Please insert game disc"

My Game Pass is all ok, Internet connection OK, PC storage OK.

I launch MSFS press any key and it asks me to insert disc...

Can anyone help?

Make sure you are signed into the right account on you xbox pc account. Also disable the firewall temporary then boot the game then re enable it once it opens up

My game was playing fine using xbox game pass and I had played many hours using ethernet cable. 

Went to use WiFi and I get the same "Please insert disc" error message. 

Tried disabling Windows Defender and Firewall but nothing worked. 

Plugged my ethernet cable back in and everything now works again! 

Weird!

Unfortunately this did not work

Disable firewall programs or add exception. 

This method worked for me.

Hey bud. I had the same problem and couldnt find a solution online either. I soent endless hours.

but finally Some one was kind enough to fix it for me.

all you need is a Digital Ownership download to reside on your computer.

you just click on a link and it downloads it for you then the game starts fine.

its from microsoft and it asks you for your Software key code for your game.

i hope this fixes yout problem

I know it sounds really weird, but all I did is change my gaming session from a WiFi connection to ethernet connection, opened the game again and hey presto, no issues and works fine now. It might have something to do with antivrus or something, who knows! But I'm glad you got your game working also as I don't usually like simulators but this is a totally different league to all other simulators. 

Flying to and from your house, your old school/college is a must!

Hello i had the same issue all you have to do is open files right click on ms flight sim and click run as admisistrator and it work perfectly

I found that you are not signed into xpass game pass, just sign back in and it works fine, I also took out network lead and plugged it back in and done a computer reset
