Hello TMawbie, not all Game Pass games allow Mods,

To see if a game is compatible with mods, launch the Xbox for Windows app on your PC, go to the game details page, and look for This game can be modified.

How to access the Mods folder

The mods folder can be accessed when you enable mods. It is necessary to add the mods you downloaded to this folder for them to work with your game. You can also remove mods from the folder (in some cases, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game to remove a particular mod).

How to access the mods folder:

Launch the Xbox app, then go to the game details page.

Press the More actions button ... and choose Open mods folder.
Important points

Each game you enable will have its own folder mods. Mods will not work with your game if they are added to the incorrect folder.

Some games may have specific instructions on how to set up mods. Check the game developer's website to learn more.

hi thanks for the reply. but I have checked all the different games and see if any of them have "This game can be modified" but literally none of them have "This game can be modified" even Skyrim, Fallout or Farming simulator 19. it feel like as xbox has removed "This game can be modified"? or its some wrong with my xbox app?

Hello again, maybe these games can be modified but on other platforms, I did an internet search and couldn't find any reference, but it's likely that this capability was removed from Xbox in the Game Pass.

There's nothing wrong with your Xbox App (I say that given there is nothing wrong with mine)...I have just checked and none of the "moddable" games show as moddable (I know they did before as I have seen the option).

I can't find anything to indicate that they have removed the option so it's possible it's a temporary issue. I know they were planning to implement a global ability to move files, mod more games etc but no clue if that has been, as yet, implemented (last articles were from November)...if they hadn't, then it may be a sign it's coming.

Same stuff happening to me.

I hope microsoft fixes this inmediatly or they are going to lose people, I just unsuscribed for the next months for not beeing able to handle my own mods... And it will continue like that if this doesn't change.

The "modding supported" just disappeared, it went missing! How long is it going to take untill it's fixed?!

the Xbox app just updated and it still isn't fixed... i just want to play modded stardew :,)

Skyrim was moddable recently but no longer is. This is hopeless. Why remove this feature, it is a backwards step

It's not removed rightt of you need to be I. Insiders xbox on Pc o LG as mentioned before use it

XBOX insiders never supported modules you cannot use external mods

Well a couple of months ago I played skyrim and fallout 4 on gamepass and I could mod them including script extender. The games got put in Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps after I enabled modding for them, the directory is STILL on my pc as proof

And the games showed they could be modded in the description.

After the last update to Gamepass app that has all gone. The option is no longer there!

I know what I did and saw, there is no longer the ability to mod! You need to check your facts

As mentioned you need to be in xbox insiders on pc the folders are encrypted you cannot adjust any of the files without breaking the encryption or using insiders steps
