Fortnite keeps taking too long to load on my xbox please help

Hey there. Do you get any error messages? Does the game eventually work? Does it take so long to load that you need to quit?

Hey there

Power cycle the console by holding down the power button for 10 secondds and then unplug the power for a few minites. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

You can also try reinstalling the game https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/install-games

Give those 2 things a try and keep us posted on the results !

As others have suggested, either try performing a power cycle, or you could unplug the console for 30 minutes.

Hey GoldButton87038,

You may need to exit the game from the Home Screen

To do this follow these steps:

Start by pressing the Xbox button to open the guide.
Verify that the game or app you wish to close is highlighted from the mini-guide on the left side of the screen, and then press the Menubutton on your controller.
Select Quit

Or you may need to Power Cycle your console.

To do this follow these steps:

Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
Select Restart console.
Select Restart.
