Error code E200 000000EF 00000000

This error code keeps popping up every time system boots up. Had console less than a month with no problems until this. I have tried hard booting multiple times plus unplugging device. Any ideas?

Hey there. The only other solution to this that I know of is the Offline System Update Diagnostic tool: support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

You may have to factory reset, but I would try OSUDT2 or 3 first. If you do have to factory reset, you will have to reinstall all games and apps that are on your internal hard drive, but your saved games and settings will be synced with the cloud, as long as you were connected to Live the last time you played them.

This solution worked for me after calling the xbox support team:

When xbox is on, hold down the power button for 10 seconds until xbox shuts off. Remove power plug and hold down the power button again for 10 seconds. This removes any excess power from the console. After plugging it back in follow these next instructions carefully: Hold down the find controller button, the eject button and the power button(all on the front of the xbox) until xbox light turns on. Then remove the power button while keeping the other two held down. This will bring up the troubleshoot menu. Then choose reset console but choose keep games. This reset takes about 3 minutes. After the reset you will need to go through console setup again. Dont worry you didn't lose any installs or saves. This just clears things like cache data. After the setup your xbox should start up normally. I made sure to do a xbox update under settings, system, updates and downloads. After the update your xbox will restart and the screen may blink 3 or more times. This is normal to correct any updates or display issues. If the blinking persists, go ahead and restart the xbox again. This should correct everything and start up again. Finally enjoy your xbox once again!
