Dear Aussie1701,
Welcome to the Microsoft Community
Thank you for sharing the details about the issue you're experiencing with the Disney Plus app on your Xbox. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter continuous prompts to update your profile, especially after you've already tried several troubleshooting steps.
Let’s explore a few more options that might help resolve this issue.
Step 1: Clear Cache and Persistent Storage
Soft Reset: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller to open the Power Center. Select Restart console, then choose Restart.
Hard Reset (if the soft reset doesn't work): Press and hold the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it turns off. Unplug the power cable from the Xbox for at least 30 seconds. Plug the power cable back in and turn on the Xbox.
Clear Persistent Storage: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Navigate to Profile & System > Settings > Devices & Streaming > Blu-ray. Select Persistent storage and choose Clear persistent storage.
Step 2: Remove and Re-add Your Disney Plus Account
Open the Disney Plus app on your Xbox.
Go to your profile and sign out of your account.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select My games & apps.
Highlight the Disney Plus app, press the Menu button (three lines), and select Manage app.
Select Saved data and delete all saved data for the Disney Plus app.
Uninstall the Disney Plus app by highlighting it, pressing the Menu button, and selecting Uninstall.
Restart your console.
Reinstall the Disney Plus app from the Microsoft Store.
Open the newly installed Disney Plus app, sign in, and check if the issue persists.
Step 3: Network and Privacy Settings
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Go to Profile & System > Settings > General > Network settings.
Select Test network connection to ensure your Xbox is properly connected to the internet.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide again, then go to Profile & System > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Privacy.
Ensure your settings are set to Adult defaults or Custom with all necessary permissions enabled.
Step 4: Check Disney Plus Account Settings
Log in to Disney Plus on a web browser or mobile app.
Update your profile information (e.g., name or avatar) and save any changes.
Log out and back in on your Xbox to see if the changes are reflected and if the prompt still appears.
If the problem persists after trying these steps, I recommend visiting the Disney Plus Help Center for support. You can utilize their contact options, such as live chat or phone support, to get assistance with Xbox-specific issues. Checking Xbox forums for further tailored solutions may also yield some helpful insights.
