Disney+ App Error Code 39

Has anyone else been able to launch any of the videos under the Disney+ App? I can log in and see all the videos but once I click to play any of them i am greeted with "Error Code 39." I have hard reset my system, I have quit and re-installed the app, I have have checked my connections and all come back working as expected.

Hi Maccrae,

Thanks for coming to the forums. Which device are you getting this error on? You may want to reach out to Disney and see what they say as this is not an Xbox error. Other errors like error 83 are driver errors.

Thanks,

Brad

Stay safe have fun. GAME HARD just not too hard :) ಠ益ಠ

Is the error code from the console or the actual app? Yesterday I was getting an error from the app, cuz everyone was trying to watch Mandalorian.

Hi Ninja,

It is within the app as I can log into the app but no shows will play as when i click on any show thats when the error appears. I was able to watch on my iPad and Desktop without issue, just the Xbox app is not working.

from looking on the internet it appears to be an error on Disney's end. I had trouble across multiple devices up until last night

you could also try contacting them on Twitter or Web rather than tie up your phone as the wait times according to Twitter are extreme. I hope you have some luck

Hello MacCrae,

Thank you for keeping us updated. As stated by KLOWN4LIFE, the error is associated with Disney. They are aware of this particular issue. Also, the Twitter link that the ambassador provided shows a Tweet from Disney stating that it may take a while for their customer service representatives to contact customers back. This is most likely due to the fact that the application spans across several different platforms, and the application is new.  There are probably quite a few people attempting to contact them at the moment. There are issues that Disney is working to resolve that are just arising.

We suggest completing all troubleshooting possible for the application. You have already completed all the necessary troubleshooting so we suggest waiting until Disney's customer support can provide more information and solutions for the error code with the application. Be sure to let us know the results!

I got a few error codes like that myself, I think it has something to do with it just being new and a lot of people using it at the same time especially with the free 7 day trial.  Just reset it and you may just want to give it a break and try it again later when there are a bit less users on, I think after the 7 day trial period is up, it will get a whole lot better...

Thank you everyone who replied and suggested help. I finally got an answer from Disney+ Tech support and their answer is as follows:

1) Delete the app

2) Hard Power Cycle your system

3) Re-download the App

4) After logging into the App first launch Disney+ original shows (if no errors load other shows)

After all this all shows have started to work with no errors to report.
