DirectX Error

I was playing FC 24 and suddenly it crashed and showed me this error and kicked me out of the game when I pressed "OK".




DirectX function "m_commandList->Close()" failed with E_INVALIDARG ("An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090", Driver: 55161.

E:\packages\RenderCore2\2.10.00-fb-fifa_18570913\source\platform\Dx12\PlatformEncoderDx12.cpp


What should I do? That error occurred again.

I have Windows 11 Pro latest version, DirectX12.

Hello, thanks for replying. I installed the game in D:\ via Steam, where should I reinstall it? I don't know if it's safe to install games in C:\

edit: Why is there a path for E:\ in the error message? I don't have an E:\ drive LOL!

you can install games on the Sea drive, but you should contact EA support for help with their game

What is the "Sea" drive?! Do you mean "C"? Also that website is down or maybe you misspelled it..

I think my problem has been solved! I just updated my GPU driver and since then the error message never showed.

that is a gpu driver issue, had that many times with burnout paradise remastered and battlefield V. always check for an updated driver at least every 3 months, no need to install the latest if all is working but some game updates break the game and then require the latest gpu driver.
