Cannot connect to my profile

Hi there, 

yesterday while I was playing the power went off in the entire building. Afterwards i could not connect to my xbox profile and the error that shows up says: "Service not available in your region error code 0x80a40401". I did a power cycle but the problem was still there. So i went to my neighbour's house and i could connect without any issues. I tried again at my home but the same error popped up again. I live in Italy so it seems to be pretty strange that the service is not available in my region, since it always worked until the power went away. 

Can someone help me?

I'm not familiar with this error and others may enlighten you further.

Did you power cycle your router?

It may require another reset.

I've tried everything, I did a hard reset, I tried to cancel the profile and re-upload it, I've tried to do a total reset of the xbox, but still nothing. 

Every time I try to connect my account, it asks me the e-mail, the password and then the same error appears over and over again. 

Should I try to do something with my Internet router? 
It's just strange because I tried at my neighbours home and it worked without any issues, but it looks like my home is in another "region".
I've even tried to plug in my xbox in different places at my home but the error is always the same.

My fear is that if I'm really gonna get a new xbox the same error would come up again. 

Hope someone can help me.

If the console works at your friends (different network router) and you can sign in there it points to something is wrong with your router or setup.

Power cycle your router again and turn your console on AFTER the router is fully functional.

I've found out that since my router was reset after the blackout at home it connected with a new IP address, which is 6 months old (I've asked my network provider). The new IP address is not registered to Italy but to Syria, so my provider told me I should try to get in touch with someone from the xbox support, to communicate them my IP address, so they can register it to Italy and it would work again. 

The problem is I don't know where to write to get in touch with someone form the xbox team, maybe someone can get me some advice?

Can You login on PC or Phone? 

Maybe someone change region on your console? )

No, the region settins are correct on the console. 

I tried to connect with the hotspot from my phone and it worked. 

It's because the IP address is registered to Siria and because of that the service is not available.

It"s really strange because not your xbox get the public IP but your router get one and only from your provider. Are there any proxy options activated in your router? Maybe you reset your router or try another one? All other devices like smartphone, tablet, pc can connect to the internet without issues?

If your neighbor worked, I think it's your ISP's problem, did you play connected via wifi? Try the cable.

I think too! My provider told me I should try to communicate with someone from microsoft because they need to update their IP geolocation database so they can register the IP address to the correct country. I've tried to chat with someone in the support chat but they told me they can not do anything with the IP's. So I don't really know. The provider also told me that if i switch off my router for a while it can happena, with a little bit of luck, that the router connects with a new IP address. 

Every other device is working without any issues, even the xbox is connected to wifi, but it cannot connect to my profile.

Do you think it would change something with the IP address if i connect the cable instead of the wifi?

Your ISP needs to be the one to provide you with IP address and registering it.
