cannot connect to certain game servers

So I have a very specific problem on my PC. I can't connect to any fortnite or minecraft bedrock servers. I can connect to other game servers like warframe and minecraft java. I did find a temporary fix though. I'm able to connect when I restart the router and modem. However, when I shut down and restart my PC the problem comes back again. All my network drivers are up to date. I used the ping command and it said 0% packet loss. Is there any way to fix my problem without restarting my router and modem every time?

I forgot to mention that I'm on a wired connection, I don't have a wifi card on my computer

Hi Daniel Cardinale(James),

Greetings!

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you are having trouble connecting to certain game servers, specifically Fortnite and Minecraft Bedrock servers on your PC. I'm here to help you with that.

I would like to set your expectation that it might be an in game server issue. If incase the troubleshooting steps I will provide you won't help you out with your issue. I highly recommend to directly contact to each game studios or game support of those games. Since you able to connect other game servers on your other games.

Firstly, let's check if there are any issues with your network connection. Please run the Network troubleshooter on your PC by following these steps:

1. Click on the Start menu and type "troubleshoot settings" in the search bar.

2. Click on "Troubleshoot settings" from the search results.

3. Scroll down and click on "Network Adapter" under "Find and fix other problems".

4. Click on "Run the troubleshooter" and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the troubleshooter detects any issues, it will try to fix them automatically. If it is unable to fix the issue, it will provide you with further instructions on how to resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, please try the following steps:

1. Check if your router is blocking the game servers. You can try resetting your router to its default settings and check if you are able to connect to the game servers. If you are still unable to connect, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to check if they are blocking the game servers.

2. Check if your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the games. You can check the system requirements for Fortnite and Minecraft Bedrock on their respective websites.

3. Try connecting to the game servers from a different network or device to see if the issue is with your PC or network.

I hope these steps help you resolve the issue. We look forward for your response.

Thank you,

It doesn't let me connect to bedrock servers on stupid century link Wi-Fi. Before you say the contact my ISP, I know for an actual fact that they aren't blocking any servers.

Also, before you say use Wi-Fi troubleshooter, that isn't going to do anything whatsoever.

PC works perfectly fine, there's no system requirements not met for running minecraft bedrock servers.

bedrock/Java Realms work just fine though.

(So do Java Edition servers)

Yes, connecting to a different non century link Wi-Fi allows me to connect to bedrock servers but I want to use my main router Wi-Fi without using my mobile hotspot.

So I switched from Playstation to Xbox and have had nothing but problems since then. Be it a double-take because we have 2 Xbox consoles connected here at home, which you apparently aren't allowed to do otherwise you'll just get problems... The solutions to the problems offered by Xbox are ridiculous. I'll switch back to the Playstation. I would also like to mention that I ran a speed test and ping test on the PC and everything is okay. My ping on the PC is 15. When I do a ping test on the Xbox I have a ping of up to 80 ping. This is not normal anymore. Thanks.
