Can you reset PROGRESS in a game without uninstalling it ?

Perhaps stupid question , but can´t see how to RESET ALL PROGRESS in my Xbox One - games ( 1-player offline games ) without having to uninstall the games ?!?  All option in the console i can find is that you must uninstall that game , and then re-install it.

Is it really that stupid ? ......

Also i got pre-paid internet connection by router , only , so there will be lots of money involved here , having to download and reinstall those games !

Hi !

I am often faced with problems equivalent personally because of an internet connection of a quality more than questionable. Play an offline game, ok (when it's not totally forbidden by the game) save but offline ... If the game is not restart online, the backup will never win the cloud and by the same will not be available on other machines (Xbox or PC via Play Anywhere). In this case, you generally have the option of choosing which backup to launch.

Some games do not offer the possibility of having multiple backups under the same account making replayability problematic, especially when the said files are not accessible in the storage management menu. You are globally in the latter case and it's really a shame but it's more UbiSoft who is to blame than Microsoft here.

Let's hope you do not have to redownload everything, have a nice day!

Video Games are fun. Enjoy !

In some games you can, like in fifa you have the option to go into the saved data fikes and delete the squads or the ultimate team you have created, but in other games this may not be the case. In Assassin's Creed however you are given three save files on which you can save and create games, so instead of deleting the game you can always create a new save game file and start again. However there does not appear to be a delete option which would make a lot of sense if you play and complete the game multiple times, which would make a lot of sense if there was and does seem rather odd that you have to uninstall the entire game and redownload it to gain access to a save game file. Maybe contact Ubisoft and suggest it for future games, to save gamers like you the hassle of deleting the game and starting all over again in the attempt to get a save game file space. Good luck and all the best.
