Can I use Xbox Gift Cards to purchase an Xbox Series X?

I was recently trying to purchase an Xbox Series X and found that there were only 2 payment methods, Credit/Debit card, or eWallet. I have lots of gift cards saved up and was wondering if I could use them to purchase the actual console or can I only use them to purchase games for the console?

"There are no fees or expiration dates, and either card can be used to buy:

Subscriptions such as:
Xbox Live Gold
Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Popular games, apps, and add-ons

The latest movies and the hottest TV shows

Accessories and devices such as Xbox consoles and controllers"
