3 Red Lights on Kinect Sensor

Hi all,

Got mine at the midnight launch last night and brought it home. Everything seems to work fine and the Kinect sensor is able to log both me and my wife in, recognise us etc, and I have gone through the setup several times but there are 3 red lights on the front of it. As far as I'm aware, these lights should be white?

Has anyone come across this issue? Can you advise how I might fix this?

I have it too! I thought it was normal. It's kind of annoying when your playing in the dark or watching a movie but I don't know how or if you even can turn the lights off or if they are supposed to be red! Anyone else have a clue?

The lights are supposed to be Red I think. It works perfectly for me, and the lights are red.

Weird, I cant seem to get it to navigate the menus, and when I go into the demo for Kinect Sports Rivals, I can't get anything to respond?

I've seen a lot of pics of peoples set ups and the lights are white?

cameras pick up infrared as white, that's why they look white on some videos, if you have a video cam can test it :)

Yeah, it's because they are infrared lights.  I have one for my full spectrum camera with small red led lights.

Any ideas why I cant navigate the menus or use Kinect Sports Rivals?

I have done the setup multiple times, angles the sensor towards the floor and it is all saying it is ok?

ur notice ur controller blinks red aswell at the front its the IR BLASTER

[/quote]I find it works better when you saw Xbox Select if your commands aren't working. Then anything written in Green you can say.

There may be a slight wrinkle with this. I'm in Ireland and apparently even though the UK gets voice commands at launch, we don't :/

But I think it's weird that I can't use the hand gestures at all?

I haven't figured out how to do Hand gestures either. Or send a voice message for that matter lol
