Xbox Live Gold Multiplayer not working but it seas I have Gold

I recently bought one year of Gold with a prepaid card, after I activated it I had gold and could play online and download games with gold. Everything worked fine and then I started a 360 game on my Xbox One. I set up my account for the 360 game and played the game. Next day I wanted to play a Xbox One online game, but the Xbox sead I had no Gold membership and I couldn’t start the game.

I tried Battlefield 1, Elder Scrolls online and Mass Effect A. and others none of them would let me access online multiplayer.

I look on the forums, I see solutions like "Wait a few hours" and "Log out and log back in", I did this, no positive results.

then I tried the more complex fixes, Clearing cache, removing my account from the Xbox and then placing it back on, still nothing.

Eventually I discovered I can still get "Games with gold" games for free and in “my games and apps” id sead I had Gold, although I still can’t connect to online matchmaking. I doubt this is intended.

I asked the @XboxSupport twitter account and they sead I should ask in this Forum.

by the way I live in swizerland and am in the Beta ring.

I also changed my Gamertag from StargateMC to Rebanics recently.

Sorry to hear about that behavior, it does seem like it could be related to your recent Gamertag change, and is this happening with both Xbox One and 360 titles still?  If you can still reproduce the behavior, make sure and report this on the console by holding the Xbox button on the controller to access the power menu and then select "Report a problem".  That console report is essential for the developers to investigate further.
