Movie Maker Support

I downloaded my version of Microsoft Movie Makers apart from the Microsoft website on a 'VideoWin' movie maker installer. This version is most likely a bootleg and thus gives me a 'trial version' scam.

Since Microsoft discontinued Movie Maker install in January, how can I save my .wlmp files to actual video files?

Answer
Answer

If you have a trial version/paid version, you do not have Microsoft's Movie Maker. Please uninstall the "trial version/paid version" and run your virus checker.

If you have paid for this trial version/paid version, please contact your credit card company to see if the credit card company will cancel your payment.

Microsoft has an installer/uninstaller troubleshooter:

Download and run the troubleshooter.

You may need to run the troubleshooter several times.

---------------------

The Microsoft Movie Maker is provided at no charge. It is a free program.

Movie Maker is part of Windows Essentials 2012 which is free and part of the Microsoft family of programs.

Windows Essentials 2012 contains the following programs:

     Photo Gallery

Although support has ended, Windows Essentials 2012 programs will continue to work.

As of this morning, February 11, 2017,

Windows Essentials 2012 download offline installer (Microsoft site) is still available.

Download for the Windows Essentials 2012 (Offline Installer) wlsetup-all.exe (Microsoft site) is here:
