Windows Live Movie Maker will not play on my TV

Additional Details
I have windows photo gallery on my laptop running Vista, when I burn a DVD through this it will play on my TV.
I have windows live movie maker on my workstation running windows 7, when I burn a DVD it will only burn in .WMV format,
this will not play on my TV system. How can I burn the dvd in the same format as provided in the Vista photo gallery within my Live setup on my workstation??

The .wlmp is a project file.  A project in WLMM contains no video, photos or audio; it's just the recipe for building your movie.

Look further down in the File menu (Alt+F) for the 'Save Movie' option.  That's what will create a file that can be played in Windows Media Player.  That's a true movie, not just the instructions for making a movie.  There should also be an option to make a DVD which will do what is necessary to make a DVD playable in a standard DVD player.
