When I go to
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/calendar-holiday-other
and try to subscribe to US Holidays using the recommended
webcals://calendar.calendar.live.com/calendar/US Holidays/calendar.ics
I get the error
There's a problem with the calendar URL that you entered. Please make sure you've entered it correctly and try again.

I understand you are trying to subscribe to US Holidays but you are getting an error message.  Let me help you.  We apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.

 

I have escalated this issue to our Support Specialist who will investigate further and try to resolve it for you. Rest assured we will update this thread once we get the results of their investigation. Unfortunately, there is no exact time frame as to when it will be fixed.

Just a quick note to say that this same issue is happening to me also.

I, too, am having the same problem trying to add an ics calendar address. I get the exact same error message when attempting to subscribe.

Thx Eugene. A couple of other problems with calendar are on outlook.com:

 

It says

"Live.com is not responding due to wrong running scripts"

 

I subscribe to Google calendar.  But Outlook.com does not synchronize updates when I make changes in Google. At the same time I subscribed Outlook.com calendar in Google which updates fine in Google calendar when I make changes in Outlook.com

Hi Denise:

It does not sync updates after subscribing. It is not practical to unsubscribe and subscribe every time I make changes in the Google calendar. On the other hand google syncs updates of outlook calendar in Google automatically - no need to unsubscribe and subscribe there

Please verify if this calendar is subscribed or imported on Outlook.com so we can properly isolate the issue. If this is an imported calendar, please be informed that the calendar would not be updated since you uploaded it on Outlook.com.

Subscribed.  I took Private ical address from my Google calendar and subscribed to outlook.com

Thank you for returning back to us. Since you have tried to unsubscribe then re-subscribe to your Google calendar but it does not sync updates, then please try to verify if there are no maintenance during the times that that you are having issues on your Calendar by visiting this link.

 

In addition, have you tried to use a mail client such as Windows Live Mail to check if the Google calendar will sync? You may download it via the link below:
